Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center Named Recipient of "Excellence in Action" Award

My Innerview’s 2008 Excellence in Action award recognizes those nursing and rehabilitation centers that achieve high levels of excellence as demonstrated by having overall customer and work satisfaction levels fall within the top 10% of My Innerview’s customer database.

Recipient centers must meet the following criteria:

· completed a customer (resident or family) or workforce satisfaction survey during the 2008 calendar year using standard nursing center instruments

· had a minimum of 10 responses, with a minimum 30% response rate

· scored in the top 10% of qualifying centers on the question "What is your recommendation of this facility to others?" in terms of the percentage of respondents rating the center as "excellent"

Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center's efforts are now receiving national recognition. Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center is a 2008 recipient of the American Health Care Association Quality Award.

The AHCA Quality Award is modeled after criteria from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s premier recognition for quality achievement. The AHCA award recognizes commitment to a continuous quality improvement process. The facilities selected have made customer satisfaction and quality outcomes their top priority.
